I’ll be honest… I never really got into the whole “styled shoot” thing when I was starting my business. And as the years passed, I just never really got around to doing one… Until now!
When I decided to throw together this little shoot, it felt like a really awesome creative outlet for me. Something that gave me a new, different vision for bridal portraits, right as wedding season was starting. It was creatively awesome, and also super fun because I got to work with some awesome folks:
First, Jessica from SOULflowers. She created such a stunning and perfect bouquet for this shoot on such short notice, and she also happens to be such a sweet, sweet person. Seriously, she’s the bomb (and I already knew that because we’ve photographed her work before).
Second, The White Room in Murfreesboro. So many of our brides have had good experiences at The White Room, and when I showed them my vision board for this shoot, they pulled the absolute perfect gown…. A flowy, romantic, Maggie Sottero dress with such a sweet “old world” feel to it. They’re good at what they do.
And third, my model Ashley (and former LCP bride!), who is an absolutely bomb personal trainer, and has a flexible enough work schedule to come get dressed up and hang out with me at sunrise on a random Tuesday. She also did her own hair and makeup for this shoot and I wish I had those mad skills.
So thank you to everyone who made this possible, and ENJOY a few of my favorites from this Sewanee bridal shoot! Sewanee is my favorite place to shoot in the state of Tennessee, and it also happens to be one of my favorite places in the whole world, so cheers. Hope you love it too :)
