Kate + Alex’s Backyard Bluff View Sewanee Wedding
It’s hard to describe how stunning this day was, and how much affection I have for Kate and Alex and their families…. Eventually I’ll share so much more from their gorgeous bluff-view Sewanee wedding (planned and designed by Lindsy Read of Read Event House) but for now, a little preview!
Kate and Alex began their weekend with a rehearsal dinner at the incomparable Judith (the restaurant where they celebrated their engagement), and a welcome party across the street at Shenanigans (with entertainment provided by her dad’s bluegrass band!). Their cool, breezy spring wedding day began with preparations at the Sewanee Inn, and continued just a few miles down the road at Kate’s parents’ cabin. Such a cozy and calm space with gorgeous bluff views… And I don’t think I’ll ever get over that stunning aisle (adorned with floral installations by Rosemary and Finch) winding through the trees and the moss. After their backyard ceremony, guests were shuttled back to the Sewanee Inn for a gorgeous sunset cocktail hour (and were met at the Inn with a double rainbow!) and one heck of a party.
