Grace Valley Farm Wedding Photos
There are certain people in life who just rub off on you. Who make you want to be a better, more kind, more humble, more loving person. And there are certain couples who (I think) rub off on the people around them at their wedding. Their guests get to witness their love, and it makes them love each other more. Hold each other a little tighter. It makes the older couples look at each other and smile because they remember that just married feeling. And it makes the younger couples (perhaps the ones who aren’t even married yet), look at each other with even more excitement for their wedding day.
Rachel + Trevor are that couple.
Let me tell you, these guys have that “madly in love can’t believe I get to marry you” thing in spades. I said this before when I blogged their engagement session, but there is just such a sense of deep respect and caring between these two. It’s a sweet, old-timey, truly honest kind of love. They hold nothing back. They love and show affection without hesitation. They are becoming more of who they were created to be, simply by being together.
Rachel’s the kind of girl whose smile just lights up a room. She’s as sweet as they come. And Trevor – well, Trevor is just as kind and easygoing, and he looks at Rachel like he just won the lottery. Just wait until you see his reaction to her walking down the aisle…. Oh, it was a good one, friends. And throughout their day, there were so many sweet little moments. Thoughtful touches. Kind words. Trevor wrote Rachel’s parents a note thanking them for raising the woman he was about to marry, and it had me in tears. And Rachel + Trevor agreed to get each other a puppy as a wedding gift, but Trevor had also pictured Rachel walking down the aisle in a pearl necklace, so he surprised her with one on the morning of their wedding. They laughed big and smiled big and hugged big on their wedding day, but more than anything, they didn’t get caught up in the little details. They didn’t forget what the day was about. There was no one else they wanted to spend time with more on their wedding day than each other.
True love isn’t transactional. It doesn’t wait to give, but gives freely, always. It doesn’t hesitate to smile. It celebrates. It hopes. It withstands. It changes. You look at Rachel and Trevor and you can see them old and gray together, still giving. Still smiling. Still loving without hesitation. This kind of love is such a joy to witness, and it makes us feel like we have the best job in the world. And I hope these pictures make that love rub off on you, too.
